Green Events are events that are planned, organised and realised according to the criteria of sustainability. Resource efficiency, waste management, regional value added as well as social responsibility are the most important factors. To obtain the certification "going GreenEvent", we have realised a set of measures.

The most important measures we are realising with the WIKIAlps Final Conference are:

• use of digital promotional measures
• use of FSC certified and recycled paper
• participants receive information for an environmentally friendly travel
• use of seasonal, regional, biological and fair-trade products for the catering
• well organised waste management
• application of energy saving measures
